This out and back ride is an excellent weekend morning ride when you can't get too far from town. Other than some minor traffic on Pima Road, it's pretty much just great views and nice road all the way out to the turn around. Start by parking in the lot at the General Store (aka Oxaxaca aka Drinkwater's) on the southwest corner of Pima and Pinnacle Peak Roads. Head North on Pima until you get to a traffic light at the Legend Trail Parkway. Head right (east) and stay on the parkway all the way north until you reach Stagecoach Pass Rd. Go right (east) on Stagecoach, then left at Wildflower Rd (next road left?). Follow Wildflower around until you reach a left turn onto Tree Lined Trail. Go left there and follow it until you get over to Cave Creek Road. Go right on Cave Creek Road and stay with it all the way to the top of the hill at the radio towers (big climb at the end). You'll reach an intersection with the Road To Bartlett Lake. Go LEFT (north) there, which basically stays on Cave Creek Road. Stay on this to the end of the pavement. Turn around and come back.

Sweet desert ride with nice views, a bit of climbing, and a nice screamer downhill from the radio towers on the way back! Very nice!
