Ride Synopsis: |
Distance: 11.? miles Elevation Gain/Loss: ?? feet |

Description: Trail 100 is pretty much my "home" trail. I live within a couple miles of a direct connection with it and have been riding it since the fall of 1990, literally hundreds of times. Although some of the "serious" mountain bike snobs scoff at Trail 100 as somewhat pedestrian when compared to much more technical trails like the National on South Mountain, Trail 100 is a nice really nice mountain bike ride camped out in the middle of the Phoenix metro area. It also has the nice benefit of having many side trail options for combining various loops and trails into longer or harder rides depending on how you feel on a given day. I only show the main trail below, with a couple of connector trails from some of the larger trailheads. You can start or end a ride on Trail 100 from many points along it's 11+ mile length. To ride one end to the other, you can start from either the Mountain View Park Trailhead at 7th Avenue and Mountain View, or at the small Tatum Trailhead located off Tatum Blvd just south of Shea Road. The trail is pretty much signed from one end to the other. Follow the ones that say "100". |

The ride profile just above is sort of cobbled together from a couple different GPS collection days. |
